Praise Report!

Thank you for all your prayers! Recently, two prayer requests have been answered.

Kristin has chosen to work at CELE, an Ecuadorian school for 6-12 year olds. She believes she'll be able to serve the people and use her gifts of teaching English better in a rural school. Of course, that means she needs to learn Spanish even faster!

Our housing situation is confirmed! We'll be living in a house with a woman named Maria who often houses missionaries. We'll all be living in the same house, which is a huge blessing! It's also close to the orphanage where Ashley will be working.

God has been so faithful to us and we're grateful to have our friends praying for us.

Continued Prayer Requests:
-- Mastering Spanish (or at least enough to be conversational)
-- A smooth visa application and approval
-- Raising $15,000 for the three of us.

Grace and love to you all!

Prayer Requests

Current Prayer Requests:
-Learning Spanish-a major requirement for the hospital and for interaction with the community
-Raising financial report: estimate-$15,000 total for all three
-Currently Kristin has a couple of teaching options and is praying for guidance for the right choice.
-Prayer for our housing situation

If anyone wishes to support us financially we would love any donations to be sent to Memorial Church of Christ at 35475 5 Mile Road Livonia, MI 48154. Just mark 'Ecuador' on the note section! :-)

Much love,
The Girls :-)

Getting Started

Ashley, Kim, and Kristin are moving to Ecuador!! God has pulled at our hearts and called us to work in the local hospital, orphanage, and schools from August 2010 to (at least) June 2011. We're super excited about this opportunity and want to share it with you!

We'll be living in Shell, Ecuador (same city of the late Jim Elliot and Nate Saint) working alongside the people and missionaries in the area. Kim will be working in a local hospital, Kristin at an area school and Ashley at an orphanage that specializes in special needs.

Over the past several years, all three of us have been blessed with a passion for missions. Each one has participated in short-term mission work inside and outside the United States. We felt the Lord urging our hearts toward another, longer opportunity, but we didn't know where. After many months of prayer and communication with organizations, doors opened to explore Ecuador. During March of 2010, Ashley and Kim visited the Kirk's relatives in Shell. At that time they discovered the needs of the country and the Lord started working in their hearts urging them toward returning. When Ashley and Kim came home and shared their stories, Kristin began to consider the option of teaching English there.

As we enter this new journey, we'd love your emotional, spiritual, and/or financial support. Just knowing we have friends and family supporting our passion is encouraging in itself. If you have any questions (no, we're not crazy), please contact any (or all!) of us by facebook or email.
